Bathroom Remodel 2015

Sometimes a simple update such as replacing hardware can do wonders for a space!

This remodel was actually cost effective as they kept the existing counter top, shower stall, and bath base. By replacing the surround of the shower from gold to a timeless look, and using an updated faucet for the tub you would never guess it was the same bathroom. New cabinets make this bathroom look custom and refreshed. The tile compliments the modern paint color and ties everything together.

Also, in the before picture you will notice carpet for the flooring. This was VERY popular back in the day. But… not the most practical. There is constant moisture in a bathroom. Carpet absorbs that moisture and where it is trapped, and most often can destroy flooring beneath it. If there were ever a leak with bathroom piping, the cleanup is BEYOND frustrating. Updating to tile flooring is not only more effective approach it’s also more sanitary!

You don’t always need to spend a fortune to have a classy bathroom! Keep that in mind, if you are ready for an update but you have concerns in the financial department.

Again, the customer was able to save on expenses by keeping the countertop in the laundry room and replacing the cabinetry. The updated cabinets are a distressed black and display the owners taste well. Who ever invented wallpaper clearly never had to take it down! For anyone who has ever had to take down outdated wallpaper or boarder you know what we are talking about. It is quite the process. We don’t recommend this task without a professional. Just for sanity purposes! Look at how amazing the space looks with a more neutral look! It seems bigger!!!
