House Fires Damage Lives
House Fires
The HiCaliber professionals understand the sensitivity that structural fires (especially house fires) may cause in the lives of those who encounter the fire and those who own the edifice. Below is an excerpt from a poem written by Anne Bradstreet ( http://www.puritansermons.com/poetry/anne13.htm ) which illustrates the damage a fire can cause in the lives of those most closely affected, aside from the obvious financial/structural struggles.
Upon The Burning Of Our House, July 10th, 1666.
Here stood that Trunk, and there that chest;
There lay that store I counted best:
My pleasant things in ashes lye,
And them behold no more shall I.
Under thy roof no guest shall sitt,
Nor at thy Table eat a bitt.
No pleasant tale shall ‘ere be told,
Nor things recounted done of old.
No Candle ‘ere shall shine in Thee,
Nor bridegroom’s voice ere heard shall bee.
In silence ever shalt thou lye;
Adieu, Adeiu; All’s vanity.
