Community Emergency Response Teams
Over the past few years, CERT members in Washington County have helped with sandbagging efforts during floods, organized communities for search and rescue, been on alert during fires, helped secure neighborhoods during power outages and generally been available to help. CERT members aren’t organized emergency responders nor are they on-call or waiting to hear from a command center. They are simply residents who have basic emergency response skills. Training is typically offered every other month and any Southern Utah resident is invited to join or to sit in on some of the sessions to see if they would be interested in learning more. We at HiCaliber care about you. We recommend you are trained and prepared for disasters, and in the unfortunate event that it strikes, we are here for you.
