Sitting areas
We noticed most of the bedrooms (not just masters) had a focal wall, if you will. Usually the placement of the bed became the first place your eyes drifted. From a textured wall with interesting dimension and color to exposed brick. These rooms are masterpieces to remember.
The bedding did not disappoint. The comforters on most of the beds made you want to have a slumber party and crawl under them. Some of the pillows became decorative accents. You never saw just 2 standard pillows plopped at the top of the bed. The placement of the pillows made a statement.
The lighting was AMAZING. There were quite a few that had lighting hanging down from the ceiling. It’s quite brilliant if you think about the amount of space your saving on your nightstand. Glamorous crystals and interesting shapes were common.
Wall art was popular as well. It was all about placement. Even generic pictures hung the right way became an interesting detail. Who would have thought that old windows could make such a visual impact when hung on a wall in a group?
Sitting areas were a HUGE HIT! You could just imagine being propped up in the chairs next to the natural light coming from the large windows, or sitting next to the custom fireplace (not that it ever gets entirely cold here). There is just something about the sound and the feel of fire that is hypnotic and relaxing.
